The Goldwell Color Guide

ℹ️ Goldwell uses a 2–10 level system. The higher the level, the less melanin — and the more visible the warm undertones. Base pigment always contributes to the final result.

💡 Tip: When assessing between two levels, always choose the darker assessment. Over-estimating lightness leads to under-developed coverage and tone shifts.

Tone codes follow the level number (e.g. 7N, 6KR). When two letters appear, the first is the primary tone and the second is the secondary tone. @Elumenated codes (@Pk, @Bl) add multi-dimensional pigment reflection.

Colorance Cover Plus — Grey Blending

ℹ️ Colorance Cover Plus is a demi-permanent, ammonia-free option for grey blending. It does not provide 100% coverage but softens the transition between white and pigmented hair. Ratio 2:1, processing up to 30 min.
