Shampoo & Conditioner Routine

Wet hair thoroughly

Saturate hair with warm water. Warm water opens the cuticle for a deeper cleanse and better product penetration.

Apply shampoo — scalp first

Work into scalp with fingertips for 60–90 seconds. Sulphate-free formulas lather gently — less foam than conventional shampoos is expected and normal.

Rinse thoroughly

Rinse completely. A second shampoo pass is recommended for clients with heavy product build-up or who use styling products regularly.

Apply conditioner mid-length to ends

Avoid the scalp. Leave 2–3 minutes for standard conditioner. Use a wide-tooth comb to distribute through lengths.

Rinse cool & style

Cool water seals the cuticle and locks in moisture. Apply styler while hair is damp for best results.

Masque & Treatment Application

Use in place of conditioner

After shampooing, apply neuMoisture Masque or neuRepair Treatment instead of regular conditioner — not in addition to it.

Distribute & comb through

Work from mid-length to ends. Use a wide-tooth comb to ensure every strand is coated evenly.

Process 5–15 minutes

Leave 5 minutes for standard results. For deeper penetration, cover with a processing cap under gentle heat for up to 15 minutes.

Rinse cool & style

Rinse thoroughly with cool water. Follow with styler appropriate for the client's hair type.

Apply to wet hair before shampoo

Work Re Neu through wet hair from scalp to ends before any shampoo step.

Massage & leave 3–5 minutes

Massage gently into scalp and through mid-lengths. Allow time for the clarifying actives to break down deposits.

Rinse thoroughly

Rinse completely. Hair will feel lighter and cleaner — this confirms the clarifying is working.

Follow with Neuma shampoo & conditioner

Always follow Re Neu with the client's appropriate Neuma shampoo and conditioner to restore moisture balance after clarifying.

ℹ️ Re Neu is essential before any colour or chemical service. Mineral deposits and product build-up on the hair shaft cause uneven colour absorption and poor chemical results.
