Determine depth (1–10) and grey distribution on dry, uncolored hair. This drives shade and developer choice.
60g color + 90ml developer. Stir to smooth consistency. Apply immediately — do not let the mixture sit.
Start at resistant areas (temples, hairline). Work in thin sections for full, even saturation.
Leave on unwashed, dry hair for 30–40 minutes. For retouches, pass to ends 5 minutes before rinsing. Rinse thoroughly with water.
Developer choice and shade selection vary based on the percentage of grey hair. Natural (.0) and double-natural (44.00, 55.00, etc.) shades provide the strongest coverage.
| Grey % | Shade Selection | Developer | Technique |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 30% | Any target shade | 6% (20 vol) | Standard application |
| 30–50% | Natural (.0) shades | 6% (20 vol) | Full saturation, thin sections |
| 50–75% | Natural or deep shades | 6–9% | Saturate fully, no heat |
| 75–100% | Deep shades (44.00, 55.00, etc.) | 9% (30 vol) | Pre-apply to resistant areas 5 min |
| Resistant temples | Add deep shade to formula | 9% (30 vol) | Pre-apply to hairline first |
